FOTOhub crosses 600,000 users: the fastest AI creative platform in Europe just hit another milestone

Seven weeks. That is the distance between our public announcement of FOTOhub's Seed round and the product's next milestone. FOTOhub.app, the AI creative platform we led with a $6.1M check inside a $6.1M Seed, has just crossed 600,000 registered users. When we committed the round in February 2026, the number was 460,000. The team added a further 140,000 users in under two months, with almost no paid acquisition, and accelerating cohort retention. This is not a vanity update. It is a signal that the thesis is working faster than even we modeled.

For readers who discovered FOTOhub through recent press coverage: FOTOhub is the AI-powered creative platform integrating multiple generative models, for images, video, audio, and text, into a single unified workflow. It is headquartered in Bydgoszcz, Poland, led by founders Arkadziusz Wiktorowicz and Mateusz Ulewicz, and has become one of the most talked-about AI product stories in Europe. You can try it at fotohub.app.

600,000 users: what the number actually means

Every venture-backed company posts user milestones. Most of them are noise. The context matters more than the digit, and the context here is unusual.

  • Growth rate. 140,000 net new registered users in approximately 49 days. That is more than 2,850 new users per day, sustained, with no advertising spend behind the spike. The input is product, not paid.
  • Source of acquisition. Internal attribution data shared with DGE3 shows that more than 71% of new signups in March and April 2026 came from direct traffic, referral traffic from social platforms where FOTOhub outputs are being shared, and organic search. Paid channels account for less than 9% of net new users.
  • Retention profile. The cohort that signed up in February 2026 shows 62% week-8 retention. For context, top-quartile consumer SaaS benchmarks in AI creative tooling hover around 31 to 38% at the same point in the cohort curve. FOTOhub is roughly 1.7x the category benchmark.
  • Monetization. Net revenue retention remains above 140%. The paid conversion rate from free to any paid tier has expanded from 6.3% to 8.1% over the last eight weeks, which, on a base that has grown by 30%, compounds into a meaningful step-change in revenue run rate.

Take those four datapoints together and what you have is not simply a growing user base. It is a product with very strong organic pull, increasing willingness to pay, and engagement patterns normally associated with social networks rather than productivity tools.

Inside the FOTOhub stack: FOTOcore, 200+ models, and five layers

The growth surprises fewer people once they understand what is actually under the hood. FOTOhub is not a wrapper on top of one foundation model. It is an orchestration system, and the piece that makes it work is a proprietary routing layer the team calls FOTOcore.

FOTOcore sits between the user's prompt and the best-in-class AI providers in the world. It evaluates the request, selects the right model or chain of models, and returns the output inside a unified workspace. The current orchestration surface includes:

  • 200+ integrated external AI models, covering image, video, audio, text, and code
  • 47+ compute engines, with dynamic routing for cost, latency, and quality
  • 360 API endpoints exposed through the Cloud Computing and API Console layer for developers and enterprise customers
  • Up to 10 TB of cloud storage per account, fronted by a global CDN
  • A unified credits wallet that works across every tool, studio, model, and workflow on the platform, eliminating the multi-subscription tax that defines the current creator stack

Ecosystem integrations include Google, OpenAI, xAI, ElevenLabs, Veo 3, and Imagen 4, among others. The product positioning the FOTOhub team has adopted captures it cleanly: "we don't just need more AI models, we need a better way to orchestrate them."

The orchestration surface is exposed to users through five distinct layers that together form what the company refers to as an operating system for modern creativity:

  1. Creative Workspace, the open entry layer, free to start, designed to remove any friction for a new creator showing up for the first time.
  2. Creative Platform, the core visual suite covering image, video, audio, and text generation in a shared canvas.
  3. FOTOhub Professional, production workflows, multi-seat teams, brand identity management, and direct social publishing.
  4. Cloud Computing and API Console, developer SDKs, webhooks, and the full 360-endpoint API surface for programmatic use.
  5. Enterprise Software, private cloud deployments, dedicated model instances, SSO, SLAs, and compliance controls for regulated buyers.

Inside those layers, the studios are where the product actually lands for creators. Vision Board is a real-time collaborative canvas for up to ten people, with a built-in AI Agent that can generate and arrange images, video, and music in the same workspace. Video Editor Pro offers a multi-track timeline, 30+ effects, integration with Veo 3 and Imagen 4, a full audio mixer, and exports to MP4, WebM, and MOV ProRes at 4K. Audio Studio is a multi-track DAW with AI composition, stem separation, EQ, mastering, text-to-track generation, and voice cloning that completes in roughly 30 seconds across 29 languages. Design Studio covers 70+ formats with templates, brand kits, and layer management for posts, presentations, and documents. Automation runs through Flows FH, a no-code drag-and-drop flow builder, and an autonomous AI agent system that can auto-design, configure, and launch an agent from a single description.

Why the press is paying attention

Independent commentary is now landing in real time. On April 24, 2026, creator-economy writer Erick Traimer published a widely-shared Medium piece titled "Is FOTOhub the ultimate everything-app for creators? Say goodbye to subscription fatigue," and a companion essay appeared on the adjacent Substack publication the same day, asking "Can one platform really replace your creator stack?" Both argue the same core thesis: that the modern creator is suffering from "fragmentation," and that FOTOhub is the first AI platform at genuine scale that unifies the workflow "from the first prompt to the final published piece under a single, powerful roof."

The specific subscriptions the pieces name as replaced by a single FOTOhub account include image generators, video generators, audio suites, and social media schedulers. The author estimates the typical active creator is consolidating roughly five separate AI tool subscriptions into one. That description matches the retention and monetization data we are seeing inside DGE3 reporting almost precisely, and it is the reason the Heat ranking landed where it did.

Crunchbase Heat ranking: why the market noticed

On April 22, 2026, FOTOhub entered the Crunchbase Heat ranking, the index Crunchbase maintains to spotlight the fastest-moving private technology companies based on signal strength, search velocity, and funding momentum. Inclusion is notoriously selective. Graduation into the top rungs typically requires sustained traction, independent media coverage, and credible investor participation, all visible simultaneously to Crunchbase's algorithmic scoring and editorial curation.

FOTOhub's entry has been, by our read, one of the cleaner debuts on the index in 2026. The signals stacking together, 600,000 users, a closed Seed round with a named lead, retention metrics above category benchmarks, an identified founding team in a non-obvious geography, an orchestration architecture that is being written about independently by creator-economy commentators, and a product that is generating its own social footprint, combined into exactly the pattern Heat is designed to surface.

FOTOhub is one of the most exceptional product stories we have seen in European AI since the category became investable. Crossing 600,000 users with the retention profile they are showing is not just traction, it is a generational platform emerging in real time. We are already mobilizing capital for the next chapter. - Dmitri Evanov, Managing Partner, DGE3 Investment

We rarely comment publicly on Crunchbase rankings, because rankings are lagging indicators by construction. In this case we are making an exception. The Heat entry validates, in a public and independently measured way, what our internal diligence already showed: FOTOhub is not simply growing, it is compounding across every dimension that predicts durable outcome, user base, engagement, monetization, brand, and talent gravity. That is the rarest combination in early-stage AI, and when a fund sees it, the job is to lean in, not lean back.

The five-step creator workflow, end to end

The reason creators stay once they sign up is the workflow itself. FOTOhub has reduced the full production pipeline to five steps that all live inside one account, one storage pool, and one credits wallet.

  1. Prompt. The creator describes the vision in natural language. FOTOhub captures context, style references, and constraints.
  2. Creation. 30+ instant models generate the first outputs, including 4K video, high-resolution images, and voice-overs.
  3. Studio. The creator refines inside the relevant studio, layer-based retouching in Design Studio, multi-track mixing in Audio Studio, timeline composition in Video Editor Pro, without leaving the session.
  4. Flows. The project feeds into Flows FH, where the Cloud GPU layer processes dozens of automated variants in parallel.
  5. Distribution. The finished asset is exported, shared with client galleries, or published directly to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube via the integrated content calendar.

From prompt to publish, without a single tab switch. That is the sentence the product lives or dies by, and the retention numbers indicate it is landing.

What creators are actually building

User research DGE3 conducted in March and April 2026, across a representative sample of FOTOhub's power users, produced a picture that explains the retention numbers. A handful of themes stood out.

Agencies and freelance creators are consolidating their stack. The median FOTOhub power user reports cancelling between two and four other AI tool subscriptions in the 30 days following their first paid tier on FOTOhub. The net saving is real, typically $40 to $120 per month, and the workflow simplification is larger. This is the clearest evidence we have that FOTOhub is a replacement product, not an addition to an already crowded stack.

Brands are using FOTOhub for campaign iteration. Several mid-market brands, some of them household names in Central Europe, are now running their social creative iteration inside FOTOhub. One told us they reduced the time from campaign brief to first deliverable from nine business days to six hours. That kind of cycle time change is not a productivity gain, it is a structural shift in how their marketing operates.

Independent creators are producing multimodal work that was previously impossible. A music creator in Warsaw used FOTOhub to generate album artwork, composed visualizer loops synced to her released track, and produced localized captions for five languages, all inside one workspace. Before FOTOhub, that project would have required three collaborators and a two-week production timeline. She completed it in eleven hours alone.

These are not extrapolated stories from a marketing team. They are verbatim examples from the research notes. The product is bending the production function of creative work.

The founders have shipped, again

When we wrote the Seed announcement, we described Arkadziusz Wiktorowicz and Mateusz Ulewicz as a textbook example of what strong technical founders look like in 2026. The seven weeks since have, if anything, reinforced that view. The team shipped three major product milestones during a period when most Seed-stage companies are still rewriting their onboarding flow: a collaborative multi-user workspace (Vision Board for up to ten people), a new long-form video composition pipeline with Veo 3 and Imagen 4 integrations, and a significantly upgraded Audio Studio with 30-second voice cloning across 29 languages and safety controls built in.

Headcount has expanded from 14 to 21 engineers and designers, without compromising hiring bar or shipping velocity. That discipline, growing the team while accelerating output, is one of the hardest things to do in software. Most companies slow down at this stage. FOTOhub has accelerated.

The next chapter: DGE3 and Venture Capital partners preparing the follow-on

The milestones of the last seven weeks have moved FOTOhub forward on a trajectory that is ahead of the plan we underwrote in February. That changes the capital question. A company that was two years from a Series A at our entry point is now, realistically, 9 to 12 months from one, and will need growth capital to meet the demand that is already at the gates.

In light of that acceleration, DGE3 has, at a very fast tempo, opened formal conversations with its shareholder base and with our Venture Capital partner network about further investments in FOTOhub, focused specifically on global expansion. Those conversations began within days of the 600,000-user milestone becoming visible in internal dashboards, and they have moved faster than any comparable process in the recent history of the fund. The objective is straightforward: give FOTOhub the capital, partnerships, and geographic footprint to take the product from a European growth story into a global category-defining platform, across North America, MENA, Southeast Asia, and Latin America, in sequence.

We are not in a position to preannounce terms, timing, or syndicate composition. What we can say publicly is that the level of interest from LPs inside the DGE3 base, from our Venture Capital co-investors, and from strategic partners who have watched FOTOhub since the Seed round was public, is the strongest we have seen around any portfolio company in the life of the fund. We expect further updates in the coming weeks.

What this means for the broader market

FOTOhub's milestone is worth one paragraph of broader reflection. For two years, the conventional wisdom on European AI was that the category-defining companies would come out of London, Paris, or possibly Berlin, and that the rest of the continent would participate mainly as a talent pool for those hubs. FOTOhub is a direct counterexample. A company founded in Bydgoszcz, funded from Warsaw, crossing 600,000 users in a market that is global by default, is a reminder that product quality and distribution gravity matter more than postcode. The best AI companies of this cycle will be distributed across Europe, not concentrated in three cities. DGE3 built a fund on that conviction. FOTOhub is one of the strongest proof points we have.

For creators and partners

If you are a creator who has not yet tried the platform, fotohub.app takes under a minute to sign up. If you are a brand, agency, or media company interested in enterprise-grade capabilities, the FOTOhub team is now actively onboarding pilot customers in Europe and selected MENA markets. If you are a founder building in AI creative tooling, multimodal infrastructure, or the adjacent category of vertical AI platforms, we would like to hear from you.

And if you are wondering what the next seven weeks will bring, we are wondering too. On current form, the answer is probably another milestone.

We are developing further, and honestly, I am myself in shock at how quickly FOTOhub.app is growing. It makes me genuinely happy, but we are not resting on our laurels, not even for a day. The best is still ahead of us. , Mateusz Ulewicz, Co-founder, FOTOhub
